Interesting numbers. The G1 has sold just over 1 million in roughly the same time period. That has been well publicized, but not this phone. Thoughts as to why there has been little attention thrown the 5800 way?

Hi GG thx for your comment

To be fair G1 is the first device from android so was always going to attract more attention than another Nokia handset.

The other factor is that 5800s are not being sold with flat rate data bundles as standard, unlike the G1. Plus there's no Ovi app store yet on the 5800, unlike android.

So from a services perspective there's still a few barriers vs the G1 even tho its selling in greater volume.

I don't think this is strange at all. The new 5800 is clearly the Iphone's nightmare. I know many persons who bought this instead. And it is really good. Cheers. - Ray J.- Mobilhuset.org: http://www.mobilhuset.org/mobil/abonnement/mobil-abonnement.php
